Hardtop retraction fault + window

My model of MX-5 is: 2018 RF

After having the top up and down a couple of times today, I got home to find the passenger window would only go up 1/4" and although the roof closed, on trying to open it again, it will only go half way before stopping and showing a malfunction error. Before I take it in to be changed an arm and a leg for a special Mazda ‘widget’, is there anything obvious I should check?

I have seen that there’s an issue with the window switch where the solder would break, but surely that would only affect one switch? Both passenger window switches (driver and passenger side) have the same problem, the window will only rise on the passenger side 1/4" and then stop.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your window regulator cable has snapped or jammed. a lot of it happening at the moment. Will probably need a new regulator. Easy enough job if your slightly DIY. plenty of videos and knowledge on the forum.
