Has anyone toured the Hebrides in their MX5? And do you have any recommendations, routes accommodation etc.

Accommodation, any that is available for the dates that you want, there’s not a massive choice and it does fill up quickly.
For a route then pick your direction, only only showing Winter timetables at the moment.

If your car is lowered then plan your entry and exit off the ferry ramps carefully, first time we went was with two MX-5’s (one lowered) and on the ferry back from Barra to Oban we were on the mezzanine deck which has some interesting approach angles, nothing to worry about and the ferry crews have seen it all before.

Worth signing up for alerts as below, we’re going to Harris for a week in September so interested too.
In April your choice of accommodation may be wider also, we have stayed at the Lochboisdale hotel on a few occasions, it has some interesting reviews, we have always found it really good though.
When will your Summer 2021 timetable be released?
Given the circumstances, the release of our timetables has been later than they would have been in normal circumstances.
At the moment, we don’t have a confirmed date for when our Summer timetable will be released, but work is underway with Transport Scotland, and we will keep our customers updated as soon as we have more information via our website and social media channels. Be aware the South Uist / Harris ferry doesn’t always run to timetable. It depends on the tides. I have been caught out with that
