Hello from Suffolk

Hi all

Just thought I’d pop on and say hello. I’ve just bought my 1st MX-5, a 1998 Jap MK2, VS-Special.

Wish I’d bought it years ago, I cannot believe how much fun it is to drive.

I must have looked like a twit at the weekend, I had the hood down at every opportunity even though it was a bit cold!

Hi ya and welcome to the MX5OC[:D]

I too had the top down at the weekend, wrapped up with me scarf and hat on, I don’t give monkeys what others think, just enjoy it and have fun[H]

G’day mate, Welcome to the Forum

Get in touch with the guys in the Eastern Region they have a lot more fun[;)]

greetings Glen

you do realise of course that the hood must only be used when parked up at night or in a tropical rainstorm. all other times, wrap up warm, crank up the fab heater & go for it.

 Hello!

Imagine how much of a twit I look with the hardtop on all summer. Doesn’t matter what you look like when you’re having fun.

It’s the Law!!![:D]     Welcome Glen.

welcome along !! whereabout is Suffolk are you?

Be sure to look at the Eastern Region section for events in your area.

I was out the other night between 6pm-8pm with the roof down. It was great and
with a scarf and hat on was toasty warm. [H]

Hello and welcome from a very sunny Suffolk today…   [:D]

Hi All!

@Ady, I’m near Mendlesham, just off the A140.

Hood was down again today, lovely weather for it, but am a bit worried after having lots of trouble getting it back up about 10pm. Was very difficult to get the catches close enough to the top of the windscreen to get them to engage. The hood is vynil, and I’m wondering if it’s a bad idea to put it up and down when the vynil is cold. Any thoughts, and should I be looking for a mohair hood (do they come in tan?).

Looking forward to the run to Duxford…

Glen
