I’ve just bought an MX5, having shopped around for something to enliven my motoring life having endured various Euroboxes for some years. I did own a GTM Rossa K3 about 5 years ago in order to test the sports car water and although it was fun to drive it had many shortcomings (being based on a Metro GTi ). It let water in, was uncomfortable, very noisy, the heating and demisting were useless, and the handbrake a complete disaster. Without the hardtop fitted it had awful scuttle shake, and the handling could be rather nasty with snap oversteer. So this time I spent ages scouring the web for information, and looking at car ads to make sure I bought something that would meet all of my needs. I found this car at a a main dealer looking a little sad for itself. It has almost every concievable factory option including the all important hardtop that will make it usable all year round, a full service history, and I got a very good deal which clinched it. It’s a low mileage 2 owner 1.8 i Sport with 6 speed box, LSD, heated leather seats et al. So far its an absolute joy and like everyone else it brings a smile to my face at the thought of it, let alone when I’m driving it. I wasn’t too sure about the colour - Splash Green - at first, and I’m seriously working on ideas to make that work. Black wheels may be the answer…
Excellent choice of car - not that I am even slightly biased [:)]
Splash Green would not be my first choice, but I wouldn’t reject it.
Wheels, Side Stripes, and so on could totally change the look - either way, I’m sure the driving experience will over-rule any doubts!
G’day mate, Welcome to the Forum
Greetings and welcome!
Enjoy the car
Cheers
