A major success this week. I found a way to fit myself in the car with a helmet on, and the roof up!
I’ve not managed to do that before, always driven with the top down when wearing a helmet. But a “slightly damp” day at Curborough sprint school gave me additional incentive to experiment. Very pleased to have found a solution to this.. it makes events on wet days infinitely more enjoyable
Aaaaaand…you gonna tell us what this solution was or what ???

Well, what worked for me ….
I discovered that if I put the helmet on the passenger seat, then get into the car (with the roof up). I then leaned over and wriggled the helmet on. Then very carefully straightened up in my seat. I don’t have a huge amount of spare space between the helmet and the roof, but there’s enough.
And it is infinitely better than getting drenched all day
