Help! 1998 wheel nuts adaptor

Help!

I have a strong suspicion that my local garage misplaced the adaptor when they took off the wheels to replace my pads, but I only have a lever, not an adaptor, to remove my wheel nuts. Does anyone know if these are aftermarket or original, and better still, where I can get an adaptor to get them off?! Thanks!

They are not original. It looks like a (well worn) Allan key fitting to me.

Hi RR. It looks a bit like it, but they’re a six (round) pointed shape. The fitment I had was a barrel which sleeved over the nut, and then you used the Mx-5 wheel brace lever to undo it. It’s not a “straight hex” that an allen key would fit.

Looks like you need a male torx for that. Star Socket Bit Set TRX Torx TX Male Sockets 1/4" & 3/8" Drive T10 - T60 Bits : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

When you get them off, replace the lot of them. The wheels look like an old multi-fit Japanese set.

Someone has done something strange, and I’m not sure its safe. The NA and NB had wheel studs not bolts. The studs are a spline fit to the back of the hubs. Unless this is on spacers, they’ve had to tap the hubs to fit these, basically ruining then.

While they are Torx bolts, they look worn out.
