Yes, it is confusing I thought the flashing light was ABS
Just re-read the previous posts - we have answered your question already.
Is this the tool you have purchased? If so it only interprets the flash codes that would be shown on a basic LED diagnostic tester. Useful in as much as it saves the faff of interpretting the flash codes but no additional help as no extra functionaility. This will not assist with ABS and SRS errors
Just to summarise and negate some of the confusion.
Assuming the dash light is correctly wired SRS(airbag system), the error code is ‘11’ in my opinion. Only reference I can find for an SRS error code ‘11’ is on the later MK2.5 car

11 - Driver-side pre-tensioner seat belt system
As you now have the ABS connected up correctly you need to jumper TBS and GND in the diagnostic box under the bonnet and the ABS light on your dash will give you the flash code(s)
