I have a beautiful MX5 car which is very very good looking, but I’m trying to find some history on it. To my surprise a couple of weeks ago I found the car on the internet - something to do with JOTA and Goodwood, prototype etc
Does anybody know anything
The Reg is VN62YWB - apparently one of three proto types built a silver one, an orange one and my car which is described as multi coloured, but is white body with black hard top and black wing mirrors.
It seems to have been at the festival of speed at some point.
The car has only been owned by Mazda and me. I bought the car 1st of April 2015 from Mazda dealer and they never said anything.
Strangely enough the owner of VN62YWC posted on here about a month ago. That one and yours were the two JOTA press cars. YWC has been converted back to near standard spec and there was a question asked about yours and whether it had been too.
There were several “orange” cars, all older than yours. They weren’t actually orange, but black cars wrapped (badly, when you looked closely, peeling wrap, lots of bubbles, and probably scratched paintwork)
VN60LHC might be the oldest car, its not been MOT’d since 2015, black Sport Tech, but has an export marker against it, so either in Japan or Germany. Probably Germany.
MZ12LHC appears to be a fake plate.
VK12UKE is real, also a black car, but not Sport Tech, not taxed since 2015, also with an export marker.
