I have a mk3 2007, in galaxy grey.
I have purchased a fibreglass spoiler that came in gloss black, I sanded it to then prime and sprayed it in the correct colour. Everything was fine until the final coat. The colour is fine but the gloss is non-existent. Is there a recommended gloss final coat spray for these types of things?
Colour match doesn’t look 100%, but maybe it’s the photos. What was the paint type you purchased for spraying with?
Depending on what you used, you may need to add a final lacquer layer. You’d generally use a 2K clear lacquer, e.g. X2 2k Clear Coat Lacquer Aerosol Spray 400ml Fast Drying High Gloss Solid | eBay

Looks like there has been a change to 2k paint, I looked at the reviews of the example above and saw someone complaining about this not being proper 2k paint as there was no button to release the hardener. I looked at another seller and they state that theirs is the “new” 2k which doesnt have a button either and can also last 36 months unlike the 2 part ones which had to be used straightaway;

Might be worth some research on this when choosing your lacquer!
Either way, build up the lacquer, sand it smooth then polish it up to get a good shine.
Because you are doing a separate item like a spoiler, the colour match is not crucial like it would be on a panel and you can always try again another time with a different brand of paint. (The colour of primer will also affect the final colour so make sure you are using the right colour for your paint).
