Iāve got a September 2009 delivered Mk3.5 in what I thought was Galaxy Grey. I need a bit of touch up paint. So before I place the order I double checked the colour.
I have the original invoice off the 1st owner that says Galaxy, but on the digital service record it says Metropolitan. It also says this in the service book that has the vin etc.
Iām sure Iāve just answered my own question, but is there anywhere on the actual car that has the paint code on it. Iād hate to buy Metro when I needed Galaxy!
All technical information for Mk3.5s is computerised, so there isnāt a printed reference of your paint colour.Ā You need to contact a Mazda main agent, service dept. and give them the car registration.Ā Theyāll be able to tell you the correct colour of the car and the Mazda Paint code.Ā For the record I think itās Galaxy Grey, colour code 32S.
Iāve got a printout from a dealer (given to me by the last owner) that states Metropolitan Grey. Iām going past a dealer later in the week so Iāll double check. Is there no code anywhere on the car? Iāve looked in the bonnet and on the drivers door pillar and thereās nowt!
The āWarranty information & Digital service recordā book says 36C Metropolitan Grey.
Iāve got an April 2009 catalogue that lists Metropolitan but not Galaxy grey so it looks like that is favourite.
Iāll call in at the dealers later in the week, hopefully someone there will also recognise the colour āin the fleshā as well as on their computer.
This is the actual car. I know pics on the computer can be deceptive with varying lighting etc When the sun hits it itās a very bluey/green grey - if that makes sense.
