Hi from Aberdeenshire

Hi guys.

I’m Steve and i live on the north Aberdeenshire coast. I met a few of you at the Redgarth pub last year. What with life getting in the way I’ve only just got around to joining the club. I own a black NC which I have fallen head over heels in love with. It had a few very small rust bubbles appearing on the wheel arches that ive now dealt with. I’ve also had the front end and the sill covers painted. The sills themselves look very good so I’ve sprayed the insides with rust converter and then waxoyl. I’ve also had the underside treated with Lanoguard. The wheels have alo been refurbished. The car is totally stock apart from a short aerial and a Panasonic touch screen unit. When i had it MOT’d my mechanic said that I’d got a really good car that had obviously been well looked after so i hope to carry on keeping it nice. It has covered 71000 miles. We took it down to France last year and covered 2500 miles mostly on B roads and it was an absolute joy to drive and never missed a beat. And so comfortable for a small car!

Looking forward to catching up with some of you again and doing a few runs and shows etc.

Cheers.

Welcome. I’m also based in Aberdeenshire and picked up a NC2 with just 33k miles 3 weeks ago. Not driven it since as I’ve been busy detailing it, needs new brakes and full fluid change. Then I’ll take on the corrosion and protection over the summer. It’s going to be a winter car for me, so protection is super important up here on our salty roads.

Who did you use for Lanoguard?

Welcome back/along, you’d be welcome at local events, the link below shows high level information and if you’re a member the monthly email will give more detailed information on how to get involved.

I got it done via the garage i use in New Pitsligo while it was in for an MOT. Robertsons garage. He uses a guy that does it off site.

Thanks Ian. Some good days to look forward to there. :slightly_smiling_face:
