Hillclimb: 'B' Licence Challenge 2015

There are seven MX-5s entered in Class Q of this year’s ‘B’ Licence Championship. Are any of the drivers members of this club?

Good luck to them all. I’ll be at Prescott, for the first meeting of the season, on Sunday 26 April.

Vroom, vroom.

I’ve received several requests for further detail. Please note that I have no affiliation with the BOC nor the venues and competitors. I’m just a keen spectator.

The ‘B’ Licence Challenge is an annual hillclimb and sprint championship, organized by the Bugatti Owners’ Club. It is sponsored for 2015 by ‘Cheltenham Porsche Specialists’. There are eight meetings between April and October, held at Prescott, Shelsley Walsh, Loton Park and MIRA. Drivers must hold a ‘B’ licence as a minimum requirement. The cars are road registered and road legal. Chassis and bodywork must remain as factory standard. Drivetrains must be original “type” per marque and model.

According to the entry list for the April meeting, seven participants are driving MX-5s out of a field of twenty-four, and these include NA, NB and NC versions. Other vehicles include Lotus, Ginetta, Toyota MR2 and classic MGB and Triumph TR cars.

Details of the first meeting are available here: http://www.prescott-hillclimb.com/british-and-midland-championships.aspx

Hope this is helpful and interesting.
