"Holy Grail" Panasport alloys caps.

Luckily, I’m picking up a set of 14" “Minilite” lookalikes this week.

All very well, they are in good nick and ripe for a light refurb.

Super finish touch to a BRG resto.

However…the holy grail is finding center caps apparently…makes BBS look easy!

So, in the 1000 to 1 off chance anybody has a set, or knows of an alternative ( Eunos ones won’t do it) I’d be grateful for some comeback.

Well, the Holy Grail caps are the ones produced by Mazda for the M2s.

Otherwise, order from the UK distributor:

There are two basic types of Panazport fitted to the MX5. There are factory fitted ones, where the offset markings are in raised relief, fitted in 14" or 15". The other sort are aftermarket, and the offset markings are engraved.

These scruffy M2-Inc 14" Panasports were spotted at one of the National Ralleys (Billing)

The M2 15" Panaports I had simple chrome plastic knock on caps.

Given that Panasports came in all sorts of sizes, you will need to confirm the centre diameter before ordering.

Owners in Japan were sick of them falling off, so had some billet ones made up,with an interference fit.

Moss UK used to sell 14" Panasports for the UK MX5 market.

If you have 1.8 brakes, fit the wheels before committing to them. Not all Panasports (and other Minilite style wheels) will clear the front calipers, due to back spacing (thick spokes), so you need to either grind the caliperas or fit shims.

Bliddy brill Saz.

They are off an identical 93 1840cc with standard brakes as are mine.

Good lead on the caps.

Sincere thanks.
