Homura 23 or 24?

New in here, 40s crisis.

Love the Homura.
Should I go for good priced Homura from last year of the new restyled one?

Thank you all.

Up to you.
Restyled is pushing it a bit.

Pretty much the same car. Recaros instead of white proper Nappa leather. Horses for courses depending on which you like. Both quality.
Steering ‘improvements’ seems, at least to a few youtube vids I’ve seen, as elusive as catching the wind.
Same front Brembo brakes, BBS wheels.

Not sure how the ‘intelligent’ speed ‘assist’ nanny works on the updated one. Has it become more intrusive?
Personally I’d go by price. If a pre update is available at a ‘good’ price and is a negligible miles, pre reg or something, I’d get that.

…or maybe get the 1.5L prime line with the black wheels, and shift gears pretty much to your heart’s content, knowing it’s gearbox is gonna be fine :+1:

Hello and welcome.

Both new and unregistered? Or used vs. new?

Do you love or hate the ‘fang’ DRL’s? Do you want DSC track mode? Colour preference?

Too personal a decision to give advice. For me the 1.5 is as good if not better than the 2.0, and if I were new to the MX-5 I’d probably look for a cared for 3 year old at half the money, unless that isn’t a consideration.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy it

I think I would like any of them.
I have been checking Autotrader and saw an Homura at a very good price.
Would you recommend any other place to check?

Looks nice.

Interesting that. Not wanting to make it a 1.5 v 2L thread, so I’ll only do one comment, but funnily enough, I had a test drive in a MINI Cooper S (2L) a fortnight ago with the Mrs, and came away thinking I’d prefer her MINI 1.5 version!

I would say that’s makes it no contest if it’s new and unregistered, and you want a new one. Isn’t list price now £37k for the new version? If both are to be registered 2024 I can’t see there being much difference in value in a few years’ time.

It’s honestly whatever you prefer - I am of the thinking that you cant go wrong with any ND, they are all superb. I’ve driven so many before I made my mind up on what my favourite is - which is the 1.5 RF, thats not to say that soft tops or 2.0s are wrong or bad, they are also great! But the 1.5 RF is just what I prefer

Comes down to personal preference :+1:
