Hoodedreeper's Eunos Roadster

 Few more photos:

Spotted you on Saturday evening queing down towards St Stephens roundabout, it was the green steelies that caught my eye at the time. Half temped to flash but I would have just been some nutter in a van flashing my lights.

Ah cool  Yeah then came back from Drifting and was then dropping my friend off

Video from Saturday’s drift day watch out for 2:03

Following on from my previous update,i’ve gotten round to sorting out the front side lights. After going to the scrappy and getting 2 new bulb holders…they’re for offset pin bulbs (581 bulb) and not straight pin (380/207). So i re-used the original bulb holders which were straight, luckily!

Dispite the front sidelights looking orange, they are a normal clear bulb

Back in October for the Drift Day i battery decided to go bang,so thought i’d get something made up to remind me of my first ‘battle scar’

Also to compliment the new tow hooks,i got some stickers

Last night i bought Forza 4,first hour i spent doing some races and getting used to the game. I then thought i’d do abit of customising and 5hrs later i had created this:

Photo quality isnt the greatest due to taking a photo of the TV screen and then uploading straight to facebook from my phone. Once XBL is sorted,i’ll get the proper photos uploaded

 Small update:

Better photos of my car on Forza 4

And to keep it upto date with my real MX5

Two of my Superlites are now painted (only one shown obviously)

My girlfriend recently got a new car,a Mazda MX5 1.8 Import and she twisted my arm into buying some Eye Lashes for it…

my MX5 felt left out so bought one of these:

loving the forza 4 pictures, but the lashes no!!!

Thanks  i know, but she likes them…gotta keep her sweet

 Tiny update…

Last sunday went over to a mates to start prepping the hard top ready for painting. Heres a before and after, those who had seen the hard top in person will know how bad the paint is/was

Also won a bargain on Ebay,a Stainless Steel exhaust which includes downpipe, decat, centre section and backbox for just £135!

The boys in the Exhaust bay at work had a go at fitting it today but where the 3 bolt flange is on manifold/downpipe join 1 bolt has snapped and the other 2 wont move (he said its a 10mm fine thread). Which means manifold needs to be dropped for the bolts to be drilled out and probably re-threaded. Making sure the studs on the engine block dont snap in the process.

So done a quick search on my phone and can get a 4-2-1 stainless manifold for approx £120! Happy Days! So gonna save my pennies and get a stainless manifold and get the whole lot fitted in one go.

After the drift day in Nov i noticed a couple of wheel nuts were difficult to remove. Had a look and one of the studs has stripped its thread and another one was almost on its way out aswell. So a purchase of 2 wheel studs from mx5parts was made and they arrived next day. So thats another thing on my to-do list!

My stainless 4-2-1 Manifold arrived yesterday:

Rocker Cover now painted:

Popped down to H&S today to get the exhaust system fitted. Was gonna tackle it myself at home, but it was gonna be much easier with a ramp.

4-2-1 Manifold fitted:

We then came across a problem! The manifold is a different manufacturer to the rest of the exhaust system. Which meant the de-cat pipe was far too long (approx 160mm too long). So we fitted the rest of the system and came back to it. Mike then measured and cut the de-cat making sure it all lined up then re-welded the flange. Jobs a good 'un!

One of the back box hangers is too short to bend,so will need a longer exhaust rubber, but for now it sits fine  Must say it sounds bloody awesome! Also found out when i got home she pops flames :stuck_out_tongue: Dont think my neighbours are gonna like me from now on haha

Got to say your car looks great. Should a car normal aspirated pop flames ?

Not sure, all i know was i was showing my dad my new exhaust,i revved…it popped…and the tail pipe lit up (and its dark outside)

free flamer kit!! good job!!! Big Smile

The car is looking good, also dont like the lashes but as you said keeps her indoors happy!

Popping wise it should be able to flame, just means your overfueling a little or have managed to get some fuel past the ingnition stage, and its the excess fuel burning off. Thats if my memory serves me correctly as to how it happens.

I think it’s quite appropriate that the personal transport of the Hooded Reaper spits flames Thumbs up

Finally got round to getting a video done. Apologies for the watermark, its difficult finding a decent converter thats free to download lol

Just uploaded another video of a ‘drive by’ to help show the sound of the exhaust

New Steering Wheel:

And Fitted:

Needed a crash helmet for drifting at Norfolk Arena,so purchased one of these:

Also purchased a Hard Top roof spoiler. Usually these are imported from the U.S but someone in the UK has designed their own and has started to sell them. I was lucky enough to be 1 of 5 to get one from the first batch. These photos are from the original sale topic so you can see what it’ll be like. (I’ve received mine, just need to get the Hard Top painted before fitting it)

And another from google:

Also ordered myself a GoPro HD Hero to help capture my drifting and some other stuff  Also bought Adobe Premier Elements 9 to help edit the videos

Great Video, You should come to Barkston on the 5th Feb with Javelin you would have a blast. It’s only 45 mins further on than Norfolk arena and well worth a visit.

I nearly bought one of those Gopro HD down at Autosport so let us know how you get on with it.

Keep Drifting
