I’m poised to advertise my car (will post on here and possibly a Pistonheads auction) and wondered how many of these Mk1, run out models were made/shipped to the UK. Are there any production records?
‘How many left ‘ website is a good starting point. In the early 2000’s there were about 4500 registered as 1.8S in the Uk. Currently there are about 2500 left registered, half of those appear to have a permanent SORN. That leaves about 1200 taxed on the road at the moment. Couldn’t see any registered as 1.8iS
It wasn’t a run out model. I’m pretty sure it was available all the time the 1.8 was on sale
