+1 for the fin pads from these guys - completely agree; one of my favourite pads

Some interesting names mentioned there is your summary.
The Fusso stuff is the most hyped thing i have followed this last 12+ months.
12months durability - never seen it proven… but for the money - results seem ok.
But you have mentioned one of my personal favourites… Britemax Vantage.
Such a doddle of a wax to use - and cheap with it too
I use some of the Britemax polishes as well Blackmax and Resto.
Following that - FK1000P and AG-HD are both in the basic collection and stunning value.
Swissvax seemed expensive; so i had seen the Definitive items which are a little more personalised.
I think Durus is now discontinued in fact… with some new product launches for 2015… i’ll keep watching then…
Keep up the banter and discussion on the detailing though
Fusso has been very much talked about.
I i think it has good reason So long as you don’t think it will actually last 12 moNthe. I’ve had it on a car a good 8 months Without any issue but I didn’t have the car long enough. I know the current owner still said it looks great but he’s polished it and sealed it since.
I I was really surprised with fk1000p. Great for the price tag. Doesn’t seem to mute flake either. Britemax vantage is great for its price. i really think its better with two coats on though.
The definitive waxes are very nicely presented. The new billet pots look fantastic too. There is definately a sense of occasion when opening the box, then the nice heavy, glass pot. It smells nice and spreads well. Id say it definately feels more special to use than my crystal Rock at 8x the price. However, I don’t think it works quite so well. Crystal rock does have a nice way of sheeting water when you start moving. It doesn’t tend to have big beads like the def wax.
Completely agree with your comments.
Fusso on a properly prepared car - I saw 6 months decent performance.
FK1000P i still use regularly as its such great value and a doddle to use.
Alloys, and/or Silver, White… great results and the pot lasts forever!
Britemax Vantage seems to be sooooo under-rated. I got 2 pots being sold off at £25 each, end of last year.
As you say - it benefits from layering - but as its so user friendly ; that’s not a problem - and is smells great too!
It appears that the use of the term ‘Fanboys’ has hit a nerve
Read this on another Forum about the comment made here:
QUOTE: “Lol, I saw some utter rubbish on another forum about DW just being for fanboys, obviously written by idiots who don’t have a clue.”
Good link…packaging clearly rules in their minds…
Based on the Auto Express review - I opted for some Bilt Hamber Double Speed wax.
Very nice indeed; easy to use and a real bargain purchase.
Smells perhaps just a bit chemically for my liking - similar to FK1000P.
Overall - impressed and happy to add to the collection.
I’ve just applied some Bilt Hamber Auto Balm…I had forgotten how good this stuff is and incredibly durable
…some double speed wax on top?..there’s a plan!!
For sure BH Auto Balm is very good and I have used in the past, only when in a rush.
The Auto Balm fillers work very well for a quick and easy result - and no dust.
But this time I had freshly polished the paint back with all swirls removed;
so just wanted a clean wax. As said - above, DSW did not disappoint…
I’ve not tried any of the bilt hamber waxes which is a shame. I know a lot of their other products are fantastic and very well priced. I don’t mind that they don’t come in a colourful bottle/ tin lol.
Where would we all be without packaging preferences? Whether it’s a pot of wax or the shape of a car, we all choose according to common tastes. Unless someone wants to argue that any MX5 is totally different to any other car on the planet, beyond a few curves, and that they bought their MX5 for its outstanding OEM handling and performance? We all do it, just over different things.
