how much are you folx paying for a regular petrol 1.6 mk1 (1993)?
i read it’s supposed to be £150
i’ve made 6 payments on 1st of month of £23.62 by DD.
in addition, the 1st one was £47.30 because i got the car midway thru the month.
so that’s £189.02 in total.
i had to get a new v5c cos there was only a little strip from the other one.
i was told that was free. but even if they applied the £25 charge, that’s still £175.
so how come i’ve been charged £189.02? 
it’s difficult to get thru to em. anyone know?

By my reckoning it’s bang on for the 1.6, if paying monthly £25.62. A one off payment upfront is £270.

12 months tax in Ireland for the 1.6 is €514 ! Jeez, you have it cheap !!
My daily driver is £30, 1.2 petrol, does it come any cheaper in Ireland?
£30 ??! No, certainly not as cheap as that in Ireland. Even classic cars still cost €56 per year, if 30 years old.
