How old are You?

I was also 72 when I bought my first MX5 in 2010.
To date, Cariad has done just 31000 happy miles, most of them in France and Spain.

.Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have.

Good luck.
Gales.

404 - double post.

Bit late to comment, but are you really? - I meant to pick this up when posted, but forgot when the thread got so long.

It seems to have been overlooked by everyone else.

Hello and welcome to the club and forum

60 in 2 months, and 17 when i am in my 5.

ā– ā– ā– ! 404| Don’t think anyone will beat that.

OK I am not the oldest but I have just celebrated my 70th birthday in Croatia after driving there with my wife in my ND. We then went on to Bosnia and Montenegro and spent a few days in Czech Republic on the way back. 3800 miles and the car was great Although well loaded with camping kit. Often ogled by little boys and their fathers with some taking pictures. Shame the satnav is so poor though.Ā

Hi all!

I’m one of the ā€˜youngsters’ here at 24Ā

New to the forum and new to MX5 life! (I’ve had mine for only a few months now) - 2.0l Sport soft top '08 named Trixie!!

Gave her a clean this afternoon, praying the heavens don’t open … but at least I enjoyed a bit of ā€˜topless’ time for a changeĀ

74 and 5/12ths.Ā  All my own teeth.Ā  All my own hair, just not inĀ the original places.Ā  Can’t move as fast as I used to unless in my MX-5 and fortunately my reflexes are still intact.Ā  My first wife, an honorary title - we are still married after 54 years and hopelessly in love, says that in my later years I am inclined to waffle.Ā  So, just to prove her wrong yet again, I’ll stop now.

Physicaly 70 + mentaly 12/13

Oh how that resonates with so many of us.

I am 69 and as others have said - driving an MX5 does make you feel younger - its great and highly recommended - long may it last!

I’m 70 and very happily married

5’ 3" and very happily married

Slightly off topic as it shows a motorcycle but showing that you are never too old. This is my wife on her second European trip a year after riding a bike for the first time when she was 58. This shows her on the Transfagaran Highway in Romania. The first trip only took her as far as Austria, Italy, Slovakia and Poland. Not bad on an old BMW 650 CS single (that’s the bike, not the wife). Now Ā 68 and has a bigger and much newer bike.

I will be 70 in January, feel younger except when driving past a shop window with the top down. Perhaps I should use my bus pass moreĀ

I am 82 years old, never thought I would make it to 70, never mind 82years.

I am considering taking one of those tests where the examiner will tell you if you are safe to drive, possibly with just a few tweeks to your skills. I don’t think I need to but, if it will satisfy my wife it will be worth it. I think I am OK but you know what wives can be like.

Bl**dy ancient, but plan to live forever - so far so good, Paul H.

64.retired early in 2014.bought my first mx5 last year.happy days.

I think I may have the opposite problem.  Whenever we use the 5 my beloved Celia keeps telling me that I ought to grow up. Why would anyone want to do that?
