This is really starting to bug me on the ND. I can’t find a way of turning off the sound sources. The last radio station or USB input selected always starts playing again at inopportune times if it has been paused. The volume can be reduced to zero but then you are unaware it has come on again. I think I’m going to have to spend another 15 minutes fiddling around to see if any of the inputs can be selected when there is nothing plugged in ( aux perhaps?)
While I’m complaining I also think that a £600 sat nav should at least understand UK postcodes.
I had the same issue when we had our test drive. I was looking all over for an on/off button. The guy there said there wasn’t one. I think you can turn off the screen and then just turn off the volume. Weird, I know.
It’s the same in my SatNav in my 25AE, you can mute the sound, or switch it to an unused Aux or Bluetooth setting which I don 't use.
You should be able to turn your radio / sat nav off in your 25AE by just pushing the volume in and holding it, it’s the same as my NC3 which has the same unit as the 25AE

Best I can do is by plugging a 3.5mm jack plug into the aux socket. Then I can select aux as the source to stop the usb stick or radio playing.
I appreciate that but that turns the whole unit off. My comment was related to continuing to enjoy the SatNav display but have no radio.
Same with Satnav fitted to the Sport Graphite, I just turn the volume right down on the radio as already stated by others.
On my 2012 venture you press the src button and look on the display for something like AV on/off this switches the audio off but leaves the sat nav on
With regards the MZD connect on the ND, you can’t turn the radio off as such, use the mute function to silence it when required.
Yep our Sport Tech Nav 2013 is the same as cropduster’s,but I’m pleased to see this thread, thought it was just me being old who couldn’t find out how to turn the radio/audio off with out turning the sat nav off too.
I’m still working my way slowly through the manual to get to grips with the sat nav, although I’ve had a Tomtom and garmin before;do like the speed limit and actual speed displays though although they are perhaps a bit low in the car, maybe why the ND display is higher.
I agree.
The user interface for the Commander is rubbish.
The only way I’ve found to switch between CD, iphone input and radio is extracting the CD or unplugging the iphone.
It spoils what is - in nearly all other respects (don’t mention the seat belt slots I’ve had to seal with black insulating tape to stop the belt s from escaping the slots) - a brilliant experience.
