How To Adjust The Hand Brake

As about i’ve noticed that since owning the “5” thats the handbreak is rather high (about 8 clicks)and it don’t hold too good on the hill outside my house,  i’ve read somewhere 5 clicks is the norm, i can’t see no adjustments anywhere, altho they are more than likely right in front of me, also when bleeding brakes is there an “order” that they should be done like some cars, or is that not an issue.

Many Thanks

Wayne.

All the info is in the tech faq

Adjust rear brakes and handbrake

You need a 4mm allen key on the rear calipers to adjust the handbrake…Assuming Mk1 & Mk2 is same…Plenty of “how to” guides on the forums. No time to find one for you right now but someone will come to your rescue if you have no luck.

As for bleeding…rule is always start with furthest away from master cylinder.
