How to PM a member about a car for sale

I recently registered with the club so I could contact a member with a car for sale. The instructions explicitly state I should communicate by PM " click the avatar and select " messaging" however there is no messaging option… Am I going mad or am I missing something. As much as I’d like to open dialogue to buy a vehicle here it seems impossible to do that.
Any help / advice appreciated before I go elsewhere .

And I’ve had another thought. Are you a paid up member of the owners club? That may make a difference.

You need to make a few more posts, it is set up to protect from spammers

Ok - I’ll have to dream up some questions / posts then before I get the option to contact the seller… I’m not a paid up member as I don’t have a car yet!

You don’t need to be a paid up member, not sure what the minimum is but if you reply to this then thats another one under your belt

Thanks for trying to help me. I’ve purchased an 09 plate NC mk2 today advertised elsewhere so I’ll soon be posting on the forum again but not with a view to buy one. I’ll be looking through the Midlands forum posts soon just to see the groups activities etc…

There’s lots of activity in Shropshire and North Wales, mainly organised through Facebook. They’re not always official MX5OC events, but many members go. That might be a bit far for you to travel, though.

Hi John, Most of us have a drink and chat. Only a few members have a meal before, which they book them selfs. The next Coopers Arms meeting is on Thursday 28th November.
