How to Set Clock ??? - 2013 Venture edition with TomTom

I have just bought a 2013 Venture edition Tech Sport with the in-built Sanyo TomTom dash

The clock is wrong (was 1hr fast) so need to reset it, but cant find an option to do so.

  • : There is no clock button on the dash controls or TomTom to adjust
  • : I have updated the Nav SD card to the latest TT software and re-inserted the card
  • : I have reset the TomTom by pressing the Off button for 20 seconds - this re-set the Clock to   "__/__"
  • : I have searched Google high and low for an answer - no joy. Though the same problem is reported a few times but I cant see an overall answer.
So now the clock is blank and shows   "__/__"

I assume the clock time is determined from the GPS satellites, but although they are working (and the correct time is displayed on the signal strength screen), it is not transferred to the display.

Can anyone help. Have spent hours on this and have only had the car for 2 days ??

Many thanks in advance

Think you press the screen to find settings or preferences, then scroll through 3 or 4 screens till the clock icon comes up, press that and it’ll give you various options.??

Nope, have done all that in Settings Preferences and there is not a Clock icon at all

Very odd, just checked ours and the clock comes up in no 6 of change preferences(of 7).-bottom left.
I wonder if someone has changed or hidden the clock in’set units’?
If you’re still stuck give me a call and I’ll sit in our MX and we can compère units.

You can find the full manual for the NVA-SD8110 tomtom satnav here - http://download.tomtom.com/open/manuals/mazda/nva-sd8110/Full_Manual_EN.pdf

See Page 55 for setting the clock. It could be that your settings have been changed to Show fewer menu options on the menus as per Page 56

Fixed!

Thanks everyone for all your help. It was the Show fewer menu options plus a full reset of the system that did it.

I have to set the clock manually, as using the Synch option to synch time to the satellites, shows 1hr fast - even tho the Satellite status shows the correct time. Strange …   Anyway, Synching is less important - as long as I can set the time manually then thats fine.

I know its hardly a major problem, but was really irritating to keep seeing the wrong time

Thanks to everyone who helped. Great forum :-)
