Just a quick note about my recent experience renewing my MX5 insurance.

My renewal quote showed a fair increase from last year so I started the dreaded search. Contacted the club insurer but unfortunately they were even more expensive. My car has a few modifications so that’s going to limit my options…

Fortunately I read a post on here about Howdens so I thought I’d give them a go.

I spoke to a really helpful guy called Adam who took me through everything, he eventually came back with a quote that was a fair bit cheaper than my renewal but for a better level of cover (it was even with the same insurer - Kgm).

I appreciate that insurance is very specific but I feel as though id have been happy even with a more expensive quote.

I have no connection with Howden Insurance or Adam I just wanted to make people aware of them just in case you’re struggling to get a decent quote.

I use them and have had a similar experience. They included insurance for up to five track days a year for less than Flux were quoting for a standard policy. Very personable to deal with too.

I have left MX5 life to go camper van days but I too ended up with Howdens and the people I dealt with were fine to deal with, highly recommended.
