I L Motorsport

Hi, has anyone fitted an IL Motorsports aluminum sway bar to their NC ?

Thinking of fitting one to the rear getting a touch of oversteer.

Any Thoughts ?

There are a couple of us on here that have the IL Motorsport Aluminium anti-roll bars, obviously they come as a pair and that how I installed mine, they helped a lot with the inititial pitch of the body on turn-in but I had not suffered any oversteer.

I only get throttle induced oversteer and that is either for fun or if I am being daft, how is your geometry?

I fitted a pair of ‘yellow dot’ RX8 ARBs to my NC a couple of months ago. They are a direct fit from an RX8 to a mk3/NC, they cost a fraction of the price of labelled ARBs and do exactly the same job. I wouldn’t put anything stiffer on the car, as that would really upset the handling and the bars I bought for £50 from an RX8 scrap dealer match the car very well.

Save yourself a small fortune and find a scrap dealer (I found mine on eBay) who has some RX8 yellow dot bars for sale. I didn’t have to, but I cleaned mine up and resprayed them and the two brackets and reused the rubber mountings that came with them. It’s a matter of freeing rusty nuts to remove the existing bars and replacing them with nice stainless ones.

I also have the IL Motorsport Aluminium anti-roll bars, front and back which have been fitted about a month now

with very good results.
