Good idea, but not sure about displaying a membership number.

I’m thinking of a beer mat. But I do like this.

It would be a great idea different coulour for every year also and it would save time at events I also see tax disc holders with a card holder on the back and then this could hold the cards to recruit new members ?

Good idea.

Great idea, gets the thing off the windscreen…

We in France need them for the Insurance label. So if you have spares send them to the Frog!

I cut the centre out of an old MX5 Club Tax Disc Holder, stuck it to a piece of paper and then displayed the reverse of it in my existing holder.

so, I have a great idea for using the tax disc holder. You could stick it on your windscreen and slip a bit of paper in it that reminds you when the tax is due!!!

Having decided to take the MK2.5 out of the garage and give it a bit of a spin around the block last weekend i couldn’t for the life of me remember if I had taxed it or SORNED it at the beginning of September. (memory and age and too many cars problem)  A useful slip of paper on the windscreen would have saved me all the effort of having to go and check this out on the .gov website before I could confidently drive it up the road…!

Had I of course found it to be SORNED and gone no further than the drive then the engine management light would not have come on 100 yards down the road… but that’s another story.

Interestingly the aforementioned website also gives you a reminder of the MOT due date when you check the road tax…

Excellent idea Red Mazda!

You’ve clearly got too much money then martin, if I’d spent upwards of £200 on something I’m sure I’d remember!

yeah, and you’d think I’d remember things like getting MOTs done on time as well…

Personally, I prefer a windscreen devoid of clutter, and the demise of the tax disc is very welcome.

I put a Japanese shaken sticker in mine. The MPS aluminium tax disc holder was too good to go in the bin.

Amazes me how many people are still driving around with old tax discs stuck to the windscreen, not a good look, makes me think what else they aren’t paying attention to.

It doesn’t amaze me that with the demise of the Tax Disc the number of un-taxed vehicles has rocketed!

Since the demise of the tax disc I’ve amused myself by displaying one dated “Dec 64” in my windscreen - I found an image of this on the web & colour-printed - 'cos that’s when I was born.  Always interesting to see folk walk past the car & do a double-take!
