I produced a similar thing for the spring rally, left a load under my windsreen wiper and only had a few left at the end of the day with a couple of kind thank-you notes.
Had a few issues getting it onto here for people to download their own (GW some 12,000 miles away saved the day) but your right, it does allow those, who might be quite vocal on here but shy in person, to meet each other and make a nice ‘ice-breaker’.
Also makes a nice reminder of the event, mine is now on the wall in my garage.
thanks for the offer. i was thinking more on the lines of a single card per
car for people to print out & lay on the dash. however, having produced a
very simple word doc & a pdf doc, i do not know how to post them on the
site as an attachment if thats even possible…
maybe if you could let me know a normal email address for you i could attach
the file so you could look at it & if ok advise me. (i tried attaching them
here & your pm & lost a bit of info. i have
reduced it (below) but not looking good). not very clever on the pc.
I’m no expert but looks good to me, particularly at an event where people might be around for a few days.
There are many people on here I’d like to chat with in person (for all the right reasons!) but didn’t get the chance at Elvington because I didn’t want to seem to forward.
With help from GW, link above takes you to a pdf which you can print out & place on the dashboard on the Mallory day so that forum users can see who is who.
i’ll start a new thread named 15/20 ID Tags which should get more people to look see.
How about adding a mobile phone number? How many people hang around their car waiting for someone to talk to them? At most events people are off looking at other cars, traders stands and other attractions.
Good thinking. Although I’ll probably leave a time when I’ll be back with the car instead - don’t want to get called back to the car every ten minutes or pick up a stalker.
Also my car already has my name on it, and a website through which people can get in touch, and it’ll have a spec list in the window and a nice bit of blurb about my sponsor too.
