Spotted this rare classic sports car down the road from me. I’d never seen one before and needed to identify it using its number plate, which I’ve blanked in the attached photo. Any guesses as to what it might be? I will reveal the answer if no-one gets it.
Jensen? 1960 541R possibly.

Yes indeed it is Malc, well done. I thought it would take longer for someone to get it right. I think it’s a beauty. No prize I’m afraid just satisfaction!

My neighbour years ago had a Jensen FF. It was a lovely thing inside and out but despite being no more than 10 -12 years old it rarely ran properly . On a bad day(of which it had plenty) 5mpg was the norm and on a good one an abstemious 12-15mpg might be in reach. 6235cc of Mopar V8 and a carburettor as big as a bucket(well,nearly) helped .
