If you have never………

Yeah, I’m 64 in Nov……vividly recall leaving rolls of 35mm film into the local Chemist shop to get them processed/developed.
Took a DSLR on holiday recently- but it’s an old one- so although it takes photos digitally, the camera doesn’t connect(directly) to

WiFi, so 700+ photos had to be manually transferred to my laptop. A bit tiresome, but a whole lot cheaper than processing films in the “old days”.

I think only about 150 Moss Roadster Kits were sold - not sure if that figure includes the four seater Malvern variant.
Apparently there was a fire in the factory in 1985, in Sheffield.

First date with my wife Lesley was in the Moss- we went to see ‘Mad Max 2’ in the ABC Cinema in Belfast. Had to fit the passenger seat into the car that afternoon……
Thanks

Indeed David :handshake:

Wondering if there is a new Thread in the making because we can’t be the only ones to have physical photographs of our previous vehicles stuck in physical photo albums

Because we have gone astray from ‘Great Driving Roads’ [It’s an age thing ]

Maybe something like "Members Previous Rides Prior to Digital "…just brainstorming here

I suspect we’d hopefully get a lot of Classic/Vintage vehicles that you don’t see any more ??

Which May/|May Not have lead us to become MX-5 Owners ??

But have given us great memories

What a great idea…. I have no doubt that each of our own individual automotive histories will have at least influenced and shaped just how we ended up with an Mx5.

I’ve only had 2 of them, both NC’s and I remember very clearly about a week after the first was written-off, Lesley said to me: “you need to buy another Mx5………”

Are you going to start off the new thread?
After all, your idea😉

Soon to be 64 - you’re just a young whippersnapper :grinning::grinning: compared to the likes of me. I spent an absolute age scanning my strips of old 35mm film so the images ended up in my main computer. Mind you, that was in the depths of winter when there wasn’t much else to do.

:joy:thanks for reply.
Your Moss looks great, very well finished. Mine was mechanically great, but the quality of the interior left a lot to be desired…
I sold mine when my kids were (very) young, when it seemed there would never be time to actually use it. I’d love to know what happened to it- or maybe it’s better I don’t.
I recall I had to source a Mk 1 escort prop shaft, which in turn had to be shortened (and balanced). Of course my donor vehicle was a Mk 2 escort and it had a two piece prop shaft , jointed in the centre, which wasn’t suitable for the Moss chassis - interesting times.

Hi David [& benfieldl]

Starting a new Thread ‘Members Previous Rides Prior to Digital’ [Physical Photos from Physical Albums]

Drat…kinda knew you were gonna suggest I start this one

Don’t be daft…I mean I view said physical albums as I post BUT since managing to upload physical photos of the Triumph Spit a while back I had to upgrade the ‘All-in-One’ Printer/Scanner/Other Things I Don’t Understand… :exploding_head: machine

[Why is it that as soon as I get me head around a new bit of tech…they upgrade it …in my mind making it even more complicated :face_with_spiral_eyes:]

So I give my whole hearted approval to any poster wanting/willing to hijack my idea as their own
