IL Motorsport Header with stock ecu

Hi,

I fitted a new IL Motorsport header recently to my NC Sport Tech. I’m happy with the results in terms of how the car feels to drive and the new sound, also using a Cobalt rear silencer.

I’m not sure about taking it to the next stage and getting a new chip and tune. The reason being I can’t see on paper what exactly is to be gained for the extra £500 ish.

So, is there anyone out there that possibly has a dyno result of this mod on a stock chip please?

From what I’ve seen on dyno’s from N/A cars is that a header without a remap gets about 30 to 70 percent of the gain of that same header with a remap. Not sure what percentage can be expected with this header.

I know this was a long time ago but I’d take it to Autotronix in south Yorkshire.(when the lock down is over, don’t think he’s open) I dont think he will charge anywhere near That sort of money and would be surprised if you didn’t find power across the whole range
