Il motorsport v Cobra rear box

Personally out of the two the il box looks great , anyone have the il motorsport fitted ?

You may have already looked, but there are loads of MX5 exhaust comparison vids on Youtube if that’s any help, I ended up with a Cobalt and not the one you are looking for so I’m no help in that respect.

As you’re probably aware, Cobra do a Road and a Race backbox and there’s quite a different tune between them…

Unfortunately Moss don’t stock it anymore.

i have an il motorsport backbox that i am very happy with.
nice tone and not much louder than the stock.

i got it second hand. 6 months old less than 1000 miles.

im told that the backbox sound is affected by the header, center section and airfilter.

so the same backbox will sound one way with a stock system and another way with a performance system.

Love the IL backbox it’s just perfect for me, nice rumble, looks good and not to loud. More expensive than the Cobra so you will have to judge (compare) it with that in mind. The fact that you can choose between a road and race version might be a bonus (espacialy if considering a “performance” setup)…
