My first post so please go easy on me…I’ve just spent a small fortune on new KYB AGXs, Spax springs and poly-bushes but don’t have the first clue on fitting them (Mrs E says ‘I told you so’ in the background!) I’ve got my Haynes manual but, as is not always the case the pictures don’t paint a thousand words.
Would anyone know of a site where I can get some good pictures - preferably stage by stage - of removing and refitting the front and rear suspension, I tried the PDF file in the FAQ section on here but it seems I don’t have permission?
The various write-ups refer to having to line up the new springs with the mark on the (oem) shocks…I can’t find any mark on my new KYBs to suggest that the spring needs to be fitted any particular way. Offerring the spring to the seat of the shock, it seems to ‘sit’ equally well…am I missing something here?
As far as I know, and I have never fitted KYB’s, it doesn’t matter where the spring sits in terms of rotation. Most certainly with Koni springs, they do not need to be positioned anywhere special
I didn’t line anythnig up when fitting the KYB AGX dampers to mine, I can’t remember if the spring perch was pressed for the end of the last coil though - if it is then the decision is made for you.
