THIS WEEKEND

 

Hi all, 

I, along with Rob Greensmith ( steel city mx5) and his sister Rachael we recently formed a fundraising group in aid of Alzheimer’s research. Rob & Rachaels mother passed away last October after suffering this horrible illness and my father is suffering from it too and had to be placed in care 2 years ago where he struggles along with his “life”. 

We have organised a walk of 3.5, 7, or 9.5 miles or if you prefer to run there is a run involved too. 

It will take place in the beautiful village of Bradfield on the outskirts of Sheffield on 21 st May from 10am for a 10.30 start. Anyone interested can turn up on the day, if you dont want to walk have a drive round and join us in the cricket pavilion for refreshments ( bar will be open…early) 

We hope to see some of you there to support our maiden event.

Hi Gaz
As you know but most others in the club don’t, my father also suffers from this awful condition .
Both Shane and I feel as though we are going through it with him , he commands a lot of our spare time these days and we both find it very difficult trying to bring up 2 young lads , run our own family life as well as incorporating dad into that.
We will do our best to try and make it for the walk …or pavilion, see what we feel like on the day

No problem. Plenty of people think I’m not right in the head. I’m looking at this as an investment.

Hi all, just a quick note to say yesterday’s event went above and beyond success, we raised £1440 on the day and with just giving page and other sources we have this should hit £2500 to £3000.
