Worth mentioning that this is a Hire Purchase arrangement, based on a 50% initial payment. Quite an unusual approach from a manufacturer I’d say, given today’s popularity for lease and PCP finance arrangements.
But this could be of interest to someone who is intending to keep the car long term and was intending to pay cash.
That’s how I bought my ND1, I did intend to keep it and still have it so thought why not.
They often have that ‘deal’.
It’s still pants though, compared to a couple of years ago. Someone is basically paying full RRP on a car, no money off. Imagine paying full RRP for a car with not a pound off!!
Usual story. It all depends if you have the capital, interest rates, and if you’d rather put the cash to other uses whilst you pay for the car more slowly.
You always have the choice, if you have the capital, to compare paying full price over time vs. the discount you might get for paying all up front in cash.
My ND1 last year cost what the down payment would be on this deal. £300 a month plus running costs. Seems mad when ND3’s are already dipping to sub £25k with little or no miles and ND2’s even more tempting. I do love the infotainment screen on the latest model though.
