Hello, what’s a good induction kit for a MK1. Been looking on web and there seems a tonne of stuff.

Best saving your money & sticking with the stock airbox.

Ha ha I too was contemplating a kit for my MK1, having ruled out a sports exhaust. I had a K&N Typhoon on my mk2.5 which I quite enjoyed, but maybe will stick with stock as you suggest.

You can find various old dynotests that indicate the best would be the Racing Beat Powerpulse or Jackson Racing CAI, but both would be hard to find now. The HKS intake wasn’t far behind. Impressive resuts were achieved in Australia with the Loch-Stewart cowl intake, no longer available, but there are similar RHD cowl intakes.

The Autoexe cowl intake, intuitively, would be king of the Cowl intakes, but very expensive.
