Inlet manifold runner control circuit low

Had CAR Iidling noticed EML was on took it a run failed to go off
Sern few posts of disconnecting battery
So done this and went off

Car been fine starts runs as it always has done
Started it other day
But battery was flat as not been used in a while
Charged battery ( battery is fine as been tested)
EML back on
Took it up to my mates he plugged it in to his solus pro
And came up with fault code
…inlet manifold runner control…

He vleared the code
Drove car outside and light was off

About hour or so later started it up to go home
And EML back on

So any ideas what it is
Had quick search but mostly for older models
Is it common fault
Easy fix
Expensive fix etc
Dont drive the car till fixed
Nothing to worry about

Focus 2lt zetec ST170’s run a ‘’ similar system’’ and its fraught with problems, always an issue. always breaking…but does not cause much problem driving it not working.perhaps mpg not as good… on mine as I work with top end racecycles I had some old school down tube shifters hooked up a cable and I played around with different settings on the friction lever have it set between the long and the short trumpets, you wouldn’t believe how its goes, way more torque, imo it would blow any mx5 off the road in acceleration to well over the ton… w

But i Had posted on fb page and the member said his mx5 had exact same code but turned out to be egr valve
Which he got changed via mazda and cars been fine since
