Inter-region Quiz Challenge Wednesday 4th March

Suffolk Meet and Inter Regional Quiz Challenge at the Manger, Bradfield Combust, Bury, 8.00 pm

This will be a Suffolk meet with a difference!

We have had the gauntlet thrown down to us by Eric Terry the Area Coordinator for the North Thames mob, and our very own Eric Salmon has volunteered to set the questions!

The format is set to be two teams with some audience participation, why not come along and support your region!

See you there…

Jamie[;)]

My cousin who had just been on University Challenge is going to be on the Eastern Region team, anyone see her, Gail Trimble is her name…  ?  [6]

not really, just trying to scare out the opposition…

Just out of interest … do the Eastern Region have a team yet ?

Not yet, I think it will be volenteers on the day!

 And, the winners were…

North Thames,   [:D]

I think the Eastern Region need to rethink their team selection strategy… and stop eating all their Jelly Babies…!

A great night however, many thanks to Eric for his organisation… I think I may have got a detention for cheating, but don’t tell me mum!

I’m looking forward to the rematch.

Well done North Thames! We obviously had the right team formation; age, brains, looks (not entirely sure who was who) and Chris’s intellectual looking beard!

It was certainly a fun night, not least because be won.[:)]
Thanks to the North Thames team who travelled up to far away Suffolk and still had their brains working when they arrived.
Thanks to Ady for showing us the way through the lanes from The Beagle.
Thanks to all the guys from Eastern Region who turned out to support and make up the ‘support’ teams.

And - a very special thanks to Eric Salmon and his capable assistant for all their hard work on preparing the quiz.  Sorry it ran on past your bed time[|-)]

Looks like a re-match is due next year on North Thames home ground.

 Superb!

Great fun had by all!

Many thanks to Eric “Red Thong” Salmon and Liz for all their hard work

and to the North Thames guys for coming up such a long way on a school night!
