Hi, I’m looking for an intercoms system that my passenger & I can talk over on a motorway with the roof down without having to scream at each other. The motorcycle ones seem to come mainly with flat earpieces for inside helmets, the rally ones are not very discreet. Does anyone use an intercom system & can recommend one?
Interesting; It’s been a while since I was in the communications business but I’ve always reckoned it’s possible to “pair” two monaural bluetooth earpiece/mikes to each other.
Cheap & cheerful with the added bonus of it not being worth anything so I can butcher it to adapt it to my needs…
The Sena SP10’s look great, although fairly expensive for 2 headsets, & not as discreet as I would like, however we want to take the little Mazda to Germany in the summer which is 7 hours of mainly 70mph+ driving so they might be worth the investment in the end…
We supply systems directly to The Morgan car company, Caterham and Kit/open top car owners worldwide.
We offer a Wired setup or Bluetooth set up that would both suit - I’ve listed a “typical” system for each.
A) Wired system quote:
Digital noise cancelling intercom hub: £239
In-Ear discreet headphones: £129 each x 2 = £258
Bluetooth dongle for wireless connection to smartphone: £99* optional accessory
Music lead to connect to an iPod or MP3 player: Free
FedEx UK Delivery £7.50
B) Bluetooth system (these are only available with Shell/Peltor style headphones)
Peltor headsets fitted with Starcom1 Bluetooth module (inc. speakers and microphone) £195 each x 2 = £390
(these will pair to another headset, for intercom, and to a smartphone but not the car’s speakers)

Our systems have sophisticated noise reduction technology for crystal clear sound at high speeds and operate via VOX.
The Wired system can be powered from a standard cigarette lighter socket (add accessory SCG-01 £15).
The Wired system needs 12V but the Bluetooth system run from rechargeable batteries.
