Iso Harness for 20 pin connector (Panasonic NVA-SD8110) - help please!

Hi, Robbie.
Yes correct.
Okay, I have just taken all the tape etc to see where it all goes.
So the fun continues…
Clearly, Mazda made a bit of a bodge when they fitted this kit.

I have traced the BROWN wire which was factory soldered into the aqua coloured wire which goes to the main plug and SENSE plug.
(This leads to the hand brake switch).

The GREEN one is factory soldered to a Brown wire running to the main plug and the SENSE plug.

The PINK wire is also connected to the main plug and the SENSE plug.
(I believe the PINK to be the “Speed Pulse”).
(Obviously all 3 connected to the sense socket on the NVA DS-8110).

Now I “Think” the Brown wire that had the GREEN wire factory soldered into it is the REVERSE lamp circuit. So the reverse camera will automatically come on when reverse is selected?
That is coloured purple/white on the new loom.
(Might test that theory very shortly).

Hopefully, I haven’t confused us. :+1:

Thanks mate and not giving up!

Is it the Tom Tom unit?

Unfortunately yes.

On the wiring diagram that I have here it should be…

Light Green (maybe Light Blue or “Aqua”) wire to Parking Brake Switch
Brown wire to Back Up Light Switch
Pink wire to Instrument Cluster (I suspect speed signal but would need a VIN to be certain)

I’d need a VIN to check the factory wiring for any of the above.

Sorry for the delay, out in the garage.
Backup as in reverse yes?
I reckon that has confirmed my theory and hopefully saved more work feeding wires through to the back.
The pink is all obvious from the old to the new loom. (I hope when I eventually switch it on).
Well done and thanks for looking and your time.
Very much appreciated. :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:

Yes, reversing lamps.

Brilliant :+1:

Camera all connected and works a treat using the green wire. :slightly_smiling_face:

All in and connected up, (once I got my head around it all and read the manuals properly).
God, there are a lot of wires in there, I would hate to be a BT engineer. Give me a spanner any day.
Didn’t need those screws as had some from the Sanyo unit I took out.
Haven’t had chance to connect or set up my iPhone yet (tomorrow hopefully).
But what I noticed straight away is the quality of the sound (without even tweaking it yet) AND the two rear speakers work great now. They never did before for some strange reason…
DAB and FM work a treat too.
Many thanks once again for your help and indeed everyone else. :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:
