J-Limited II

Now I’ve had a chance to give mine a clean I’m happy to show it off our Eunos Roadster J-Limited II

It’s been christened Bumble Bee, and we collected it last weekend.

After some minor fettling I fixed a few issues, got the interior lights working, fixed the door cards in place, reprogrammed the non-working immobiliser transducers, gave the seats a good clean and  then settled down with the service history.

Found receipts for close to £1000 for a suspension rebuild a couple of years ago, loads of service history. It got better when realised the odometer was reading in KMs, so its’ only done 80,000 miles, not the 125,000 I’d thought. Also found the seats had been refurbished a few years ago.

Even the AC works, and after a very good poke around today I suspect that it’s always been garaged as I can’t find any rust (yet).

The nose cone is not original as it is a slightly different shade of yellow, I’ll get this sprayed up later in the year.

Spent today cleaning and polishing, the hood came up a treat, and did the important job of adding the owners’ club stickers.

Very tidy

The nose and rear bumper ‘could’ be original as the plastics do tend to take the colour slightly differently to the metal and it ages differently too.

Well, many thanks to Norkie as I now have a rather excellent Tonneau cover as well.

Tidy looking car neilw, not that I’m biased. Does it have MK2 seats in as my J2 ltd has separate headrests?

I have no idea about the seats. I think the J2 had cloth seats originally - I know mine were replaced a few years ago.

I know yellow isn’t to everybody’s taste, but I really like it (even considered having my mk3.75 wrapped). Stunning little mk1 and a nice set of cars to accompany it.

Thanks, the irony being the Cooper S and the Range Rover have had very little use since getting the J2, in fact if it carries on like this we’ll have extend the limited milage on the insurance as if it’s not raining we drive yellow.

Feels very strange go from the RR to the J2, and the Mini feels huge after driving the J2.

There’s also a 1993 Range Rover 4.2 V8 LSE that should be on the road soon, looking forward to getting some pics of that with the J2.

Yes, the original J2 had black cloth seats with seperate head rests.

BTW, very smart looking car .

Always liked the J2 nearly bought one once but the seller sold it behind my back so that was the end of my dealings with em but have always liked yellow 5’s

You have MK1 1.6 seats. You should have some speakers in the headrest. They’ve had a retrim.

The J-Ltd-2 had black cloth seats with separate headrests.

I was going to ask who done your seats as I’m after doing mine like that.

If you ever think it’s to much yellow we could swap for my plain black leather seats

Nice to see good examples of the yellow MX5

Looks good I will keep a look out as I’m in rush green mine is a black mk2
