Jacking points NC

What have people found to work well for jacking points. The sill points are great but then there is always the challenge of swapping the jack on these points to axle stands. I have gained confidence in using the front crossmember for support at the front. At the rear i’m very reluctant to use the diff despite it being suggested in the Haynes manual.

What have others found to be reliable?

Thanks

Jason

The very rear part of the chassis rails I’ve placed axle stands for holding the car on when working on the rear. Also used the diff to jack up on but be wary of anything cracking there, never had problems never read about problems either. The fronts, I’ve used the sturdy part of that bracket with the 3 bolts through it, (centre in the pic) opposite hoist support arms. If you can get your jack under to that jack there and place axle stands on the sill points. I use a piece thick rubber between jack head or axle stands cradles to prevent slippage (metal to metal) always check on older cars for soundness of the metal you are jacking up on.
