Fair point! Generally speaking for placement of axle stands I would select areas where the suspension arms connect to the subframes or other underside sections where there is opportunity to spread loads using wooden blocks or rubber pads. But also, where practical, I would leave a jack under either/both of the rear diff or front cross member to take/share loadings.

My key aim is as far as practical to avoid using the pinch welds, but have done so (on my own NC models) and have found then to be pretty strong relative to some other cars I’ve owned.
