James May's Cars of the people.

Just a reminder, It’s the first of the series on BBC 2 at 9 PM tonight.

Thanks Gails I’d forgotten about that.

I enjoyed that, but was appalled by the improperly adjusted harness in the Beach Buggy.

I would have thought that even Captain Slow would know better than to have the lap strap high up across the ribcage.

Even if the risk was low it looked just plain stupid - a bit like having trousers pulled up under your armpits!

Well researched, well written, well produced AND he took the p out of Clarkson. I really enjoy James mays books and I thought that was really good. Series link - activated

I didn’t notice that.  Was too busy googling “GP2 beach buggy”.  There’s one for sale, but I don’t live very close to a beach.

As a former owner of a proper Fiat 124 then I appreciated the praise it got or at least that before it all headed east and turned into a Lada and the rest.

I didn’t spot the harness but did notice when he was driving the old beetle for much of the time it looked like he had no hands on the steering wheel at all…

Anyone see it earlier tonight. Nice feature on the mx5

Yes it was really interesting watch and good section on mx5!

Yes, very entertaining.  But he only reiterated what we already know .

Yes and it was chance for everyone to see why we love Mx5 !

He did a very good job of ensuring MX5 values harden-up a bit on the used market, good feature.

Totally agree. (Not that I’ll be selling my Minty any time soon) [(yy)]

Damn it, we had neighbours in for drinks last night, I had booked it on the TV but it was off and I forgot all about it.
I’ll just have to hope for a repeat.

Loved the bit where he whizzed past an MGB at the roadside boiling over.  I bet that infuriated MGB owners.  Ha Ha Ha Ha

Many thanks to all , will watch it tonight, have  HDMI cable, Comp to TV.

Cheers
