Jump starter pack

    looking for a bit of advice next week I have to park my car at Heathrow airport for twenty days from what I have read there is a good chance it won’t start on my return (flat battery) . I have bought one of those jump starters my question is can I connect the negative lead to the negative terminal on the battery or should I connect it to the body chassis

Chassis is always best unless the charger instructions state otherwise.

I’ve used one of these … worked a treat and I put mine straight onto both terminals of the battery.

I’ve used starter jump packs many many times in the bodyshop. Always attached to the battery terminals, never had an issue.

I’d attach the negative to the engine, the starter earths through the engine so reduces resistance but straight to battery will probably work just as well in reality.
