After owning and driving lots of cars I’ve realised I like small engaging cars. I adored my Caterham but I never used it because it was too much of a faff to take the roof on and off and get in and out.
This MX5 really blends usability with raw engagement. I also have an Alpine A110 which is an absolutely amazing car, but I’ll now be selling as I just don’t see why I’d choose to drive it over the MX5.
The car seems to be losing a lot of coolant, but with no signs of drips underneath. Oil looks fine. Just hoping it’s nothing serious. I’ll book it in to the garage next week.
Nice. Mine is putting out around 220bhp. It’s not crazy numbers but it’s more than enough for me to enjoy the car for what I use it for. The only reason I went for a supercharged one was I thought the extra power on the motorway would make it an easier cruise.

Your original query has got lost because the car is so drop dead gorgeous and supercharged😀
Losing coolant with nothing on the floor and the engine oil looking okay is indeed a bit of a worry.
I was sceptical about the 220bhp, as most M45 superchargers top out at 180. Then I read your spec list. Someone has really gone to town on that. Lovely.
