I’m thinking about buying a sprintex s5-210 charger kit for the r53 mini. Running dual throttle bodies and a inter cooler.

The sprintex charger has same mounting points as m45, and I have a m45 fitted already, so mounting should be simple enough. Your intake should also mount straight onto the sprintex charger. Your outlet would need a mounting plate as sprintex bolt holes are different. Should be easy enough though.

I’d need to find a way to attach my pre charger throttle to your inlet. A short silicon joiner probably wouldn’t be solid enough. A cone filter on the throttle would finish the job.

What do you think? Sprintex claim up to 15 psi from this charger, a long way round inter cooler instal will probably drop a few psi, but if I got 12 psi with better efficiency would be worth it.

Do you see any issues?

It seem that you know a lot more about this then me.

I don’t know if anyone has used that charger with the Mazda. I would make sure someone has done it before you buy the charger. Space is a little tight under there.

Obviously my parts are designed for the M45, so i cant really say if it will work or not.

It fits over the machined part of the m45. If you have a good look on the ebay ad, there’s loads of pics of it.

I received the final production bracket on Friday, so i thought i would put a couple of pics on here.

I will be ordering the first batch today so should have them in a couple of weeks.

Well I have been to the Dyno.

As the people who have been following this thread will know, the intention was to see if we can produce a very simple supercharger set up.

Basic Spec.

1.6 Eunos with 80,000 miles on it.

Salon Motorsport Bracket/Tensioner.

Salon Motorsport M45 inlet.

Salon Motorsport M45 Outlet.

Variable rising rate fuel pressure regulator.

Standard ECU

Standard size Pulley

No Intercooler.

Rather Then building a car with all the bells and whistles, We wanted to initially build a car with the simplest set up possible, I even removed the cold air feed airbox and replaced it with a simple cone filter for the dyno.

The higher spec one will come later, although a couple of people are going to beat me to it.

I,m Very happy with the results… A Big thanks to the chaps at SANSPEED. Being the simplest of setups it only cost £150 for the work.
