Just found a good company for retro style wheels

£1500 for s/hand wats? I sold a set that needed restoring for £80. A mag-alloy set I had, I basically gave away for £100.  For a set in good condition, they are more like £400-500.

As for sources of trim material, try Woolies. Also check mx5heaven; they have some interesting used doorcards from a MK1 I have never seen before.

yh i did check out woolies they do have some good stuff on there but nothing like what im looking for, i want to make up some door cards using the quilted stitched style, abit like the spyker C8,

and i no thts a little over the top i want to create mine but not cover everything causing it too look tacky and obviosly a different colour maybe a cream black or red.

i was thinking it dont neceassarily need to be leather/vinyl could be fleese or material, just say a bed throw or blanket to use the material

thinking nylon would look ok, but most people would disagree im just different i guess Stick Tongue Out

That quilted material is very hard to find; you sometimes find it with some companies supplying boat trim material, and then in limited colours. There is an option, but its expensive, and its called Nakamae.

Might be easier to buy your own material, and get busy on a sewing machine.

Sounds to me that you should have bought this 5

Best of luck with your plans Thumbs up

Hahaha your so right i spent most of today searching for some of it damm and hardly any luck its more popular in a america ( i guess becuase they love those family quilted things they make lol)

But i did manage to dig out some old jackets i had there a wierd musturd brown colour, swede/fleece style, i may dye an sample black and see if this comes out.

im no good on a sowing machine, even tho i used to study fashion i didnt quite get my hands round how to work it properly

yh that is an incredible car for the money, would of loved to of been the next owner of that well worth £3000

Good God that car is fantastic someone has got a bargain!

If you contact Rik (KFC) who recently sold this 5 he will know where to get the quilted interior as he`s a restorer.

Back to the topic of wheels how about compomotive ML?

ive been quoted £599 for 15x7 25-30mm offset?

yh they look quite sweet i take it the quote is with tyres balanced and fitted?

if so sounds interesting

thinking that the stratos wheels may look interesting and different

or these

here is a picture with the Compomotive ML wheels on a Mx5 but apparently they are 7x15 they dnt look deep enough they sort off look wierd ?!

If you are after other ideas of “cheap” wheels:

Drag DR-20 (copyof the Work Equip)

different offsets available; for the dished look, you need 10mm, but may need the arches rolling

http://www.dragwheels.pl/eng/index.php

The Rota equivalent is the Flashback.

Another copy/ripoff on the same theme is the Axis OG Oldskool, but I’m not sure where you would get these in Europe:

The other UK replicas of Minilites are Midland Wheel Services (MWS) “Minilight”; but these come in non-metric stud fittings, unless enough people bang on their door.

There is also the KN Minator, which some forum members have:

They probably weigh a ton (old Revolution Minator moulds) but you won’t buy cheaper:

http://www.tyresave.co.uk/alloyskn.html

It would be interesting to see what offsets they can offer with a PCD 100mm stud fitting.

I really like the look of those drag wheels any idea if they are heavy?

Allegedly about 15lbs each.

Weds posted this video about cast replicas of their wheels:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJeFB6SRslk&feature=player_embedded

Ive seen these and instantly fourght to myself they are perfect for me, ive seen a few wheels similar from japan,

but these are cheap and look different, i was wondering if they would fit AT,

15x7.5 with a et35 4x100

http://www.potn.co.uk/league-retro-star-15x75-set-of-4-wheels-and-tyres-black-with-polished-face-exclusive_p1003048.htm

They’re cheap, and they’ll fit.

Taiwanese:

You need to check if the centre hole is 54.1mm diameter.

Just as I thought all the Equip rip-offs had been found, another cheapie crops up; the Calibre Eclipse

They are cheap but quite unique i would prefer other colours but i can always get them done at a later time.

my search is complete, for now lol

anyone know the weight on those league retro stars? like the look of them, but my stock enkeis are 6.5kg a corner already.

i have been looking, i really love them.

ive never seen anyone around my area with anything as bizzare as that so its a must have for me , i hate chasing the latest fashion so gay, what happend to being unique and be yourself?

anyway as soon as i find out ill let u no

They are probably around 15lbs.
