how true is this, has anyone out there fitted one to their Mk1 ? If this has been raised before, and is on the forum please let me know.
I would consider sourcing one if it does, wouldnt pay the MX 5 parts price though, £167 on ebay

Well Richard, thanks for confirming that one (and thanks for posting a photo) - are there any particular ‘mods’ needed to fit it ?
The bit I dont get, is why is it quoted as being for a Mk2/2.5 only, as as far as I can work out, the only engine bay differences are the headlamp motors not being there.
I dont fancy spending £80 + for a bit of foil duct or a rubber tube section and a foam filter, when I could scout around for something more substantional, albeit I’d need to add a oner to the cost, that would be more beneficial
Note the larger pipe in the middle. It is running the idle speed control valve. I used the hole where the temp sensor goes on the Mk2
