Knocking over large bumps at rear of car

  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __Knocking on big bumbs at rear of car. I have spent money at a garage with no luck finding the cause. All rear suspention components look ok and has passed mot

It is most likely the spherical bearings on the rear suspension. 2 each side and easily replaced at a reasonable cost. Contact MechanicalDesigner for advice and a solution.

Apologies if this is a silly question, but have you checked for anything loose and heavyish in your boot, like the little tool pack that often sits in the right rear space behind the boot carpet? I speak from experience :grin:

(assuming you’ve ruled out the spherical bearings referred to above)
