[Last Chance Reduction] 2007 Mazda MX-5 NC Sport 2.0L 6-Speed PRHT For Sale

Hello,

[Last Chance Reduction] Car has been accepted as a Part Ex. and will be sold Thur. 18th July to dealer unless any offers. - £2,500

[Price Reduction] £3,999

I’m selling my 2007 Mazda MX-5 NC Sport 2.0i 6-Speed Manual PRHT in Brilliant Black, with black alloys, and heated black leather interior. It’s covered 95,769 miles, has part service history (full throughout my ownership, listed below), and is MOT’d until March 2025. 2 keys, 4 prior owners including myself.

Great little car throughout my ownership, mechanically sound, and pulls as it should. Selling as I no longer have the space for more than one car, and now need a car with four seats.

In my ownership since March 2022, the following work has been performed by trusted local garages - receipts available:

2022 (88,922 miles):

  • Full set of brake disks & Pads (EBC Ultimax)
  • LSD Fluid Change (Red Line 75W90 GL-5)
  • Power Steering Fluid Change (Mobil ATF 220)
  • Brake Fluid Change (Comma BF1L DOT 3)
  • Transmission Fluid Change (Castrol Transmax 75W90 GL4)

2022 (90,412 miles):

  • Replaced Rear Droplinks

2022 (93,152 miles):

  • Full set of tyres (Kumho Ecsta PS71s, 205/45 R17)
  • Alignment

2023 (93,152 miles):

  • Wielding –See pictures for before and after comparison (Near Side Rear Inner Sill & Near Side Rear Floor Pan)

2023 (95,226 miles):

  • Service - Oil & Filter

Prior to my ownership, the car was serviced at the Coventry Mazda main dealer (540 London Rd, Coventry CV3 4EW) between 2007 – 2010, and I have physical receipts of this (and Mazda’s online digital service records reflect this). After this, I have independent garage receipts from 2012 – 2015.

I have the physical copy of most of the MOTs over the car’s life – a comprehensive record can be found online at gov.uk.

Despite the lack of service history from 2015 - 2022, throughout my ownership the engine has ran smooth and fantastic, and I haven’t had any problems mechanically with the car. Additionally, I have maintained all receipts of service history within my ownership.

Interior:
Like-new condition full black heated leather seats, and dash looks great. The leather steering wheel has wear in places, but this is generally age related, and could be reconditioned. Also includes electric adjustable mirrors and AC. I’ve also retrofitted subtle auxiliary cable input, as the initial NC model years did not have aux as standard.

Exterior:
Good for its age. There are a few stone chips on the bonnet which are hard to pull up on the camera. Can provide additional photos if required. Wheels are all in decent condition. PRHT works perfectly.

There is slight bubbling on passenger side-front wheel arch, and a little bit of rust within the wheel arch for the driver-side rear. Bubbling on the deck where the PRHT is stored – this is a known factory defect with early model PRHTs, and does not affect performance of the PRHT.

MOT failure in 2023 was addressed to a high standard with wielding, on both the near-side floor pan & rear inner sill. Before and after pictures of the repair have been provided, and as you can see, this was addressed to a high standard.

Underside has some general advisory surface corrosion (can be seen on MOTs), which is common for this model. Can be seen on the above pictures, and probably fixable with a wire brush.

Mechanically:
Runs great, pulls great, to be expected with these cars. Has been occasionally driven during the last 6 months, but mostly stored due to moving to a more practical car. Tyres were fully replaced with a full set of Kumhos in December 2022, which have only done 2.6k miles. The hardtop roof operates smoothly, as intended.
